Coraopolis is a small town just west of Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania. You can see the amount of history in the city by simply viewing the street signs. This building used to be an icehouse, but it has now been transformed into a seven-story museum with over 250 years of Pennsylvania history in its interactive exhibits. As you explore the displays, you can learn how the immigrants shaped the area, get a closer look at how the Underground Railroad worked and learn about the sporting past of the state.

The Andy Warhol Museum is a modern tribute to the man who founded Pop Art. This museum has over 4,000 pieces of art from Warhol himself as well as other local and regional artists who push the boundaries of the art world. Warhol was native to Pittsburgh and you can see the city themes in some of his drawings and prints.

If you want to see a little bit of everything in one location, the Carnegie Museums of Art and Natural History make a great stop. This attraction allows visitors to explore hands-on exhibits with everything from dinosaurs to gems, minerals and Native American artifacts. This museum has been ranked one of the 10 best art museums for kids in the nation and it is a great place for both children and adults.

The National Aviary lies just across the river from the History Center. This aviary holds over 600 different types of birds within its natural exhibits. Visitors can walk through the natural habitats and see tiny hummingbirds and giant condors all in the same location.

When you want to get a feel for the cultural life of the city, the Strip is the best place to stroll. This popular warehouse district has farmer's markets and street fairs every Saturday giving visitors a chance to enjoy the culture in a whole new way. The Strip is a great place to shop and grab coffee and on Saturdays, you can also browse through the vendors' items and see everything from costumes to kitchenware.
